DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:35 P.M.) – Scores of civilians in the northern Syrian city of Raqqa took the street today to protest against the US occupation and in support of the Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Men, women and children hoisted the Syrian national flag and chanted in support of the Syrian President and the country’s Army.

The protestors called on the Syrian Army to liberate their city from the US troops and the Kurdish militia.

“Down with America and its proxies [the Kurds], Bashar Assad is our only president”, said one of the protestors who daringly and defiantly uttered his name.

Once the de-facto capital of the Islamic State, the city of Raqqa was taken over by the predominantly-Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with support of US military in October 2017.

The Kurdish militiamen were accused of ethnically cleansing several Arab-populated villages as they seized control of the area located east of the Euphrates.

It is time USA and its allies accept the ground reality and if they have some self respect quit Syria and stop meddling in Syria any further. No rebel group is going to win so long as Russia & Iran keep supporting Syria. President Bashar Al-Assad is not going away anywhere and is… Read more »

More I read your comments, more I believe Dr. Bashar Assad (praised to be his name!) should wipe out all of the rats with name starting Abu, Bakr, Bagdadi and so on…
