BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:40 P.M.) – The U.S. has withdrawn their Patriot air defense missiles from their airbases in Bahrain and Jordan, IHS Janes reported, citing satellite imagery.
According to the IHS Janes report, the Patriot air defense system at the Issa Airbase in southern Bahrain had been removed on October 27th, while another Patriot system was still in place nearby.
The report also stated that the Patriot Shaheed at Jordan’s Shaheed Muwaffaq (var. Al-Azraq) Airbase had been removed in early October.
No reason was given for the withdrawal of these Patriot missile systems.
