BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:10 A.M.) – The political and media adviser to the Syrian President Dr. Bouthaina Shaaban said on Tuesday morning that the nations which claim to fight against terrorism – in particular, the United States of America – are the same countries that back terrorism in Syria in order to prolong the conflict.

During a speech at the Valdai International Discussion Club in Moscow on Tuesday, Dr. Shaaban said that the United States and its allies are taking the fight against terrorism as a pretext to wage wars against countries and plunder their wealth.

”The U.S. occupation forces in the al-Tanf zone are impeding the liberation of the region from terrorism,” she said, adding that international terrorism, which strikes everywhere, is systematic and funded from certain countries.

Dr. Shaaban’s comments in Moscow come just 24 hours after the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad delivered a speech to the local council heads in Damascus.

During his speech, the Syrian President slammed the U.S. and Turkey for their current roles in Syria, while also claiming that the former will ultimately betray the Kurdish groups inside the country.

The Al-Tanf region is located in southeast Homs; it has been under the control of the U.S. military since the “New Syrian Army” captured this border area in 2016.

  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Likely the allegation is correct. It just depends upon one’ s definition of terrorist. For Assad : opposition = terrorism. Just like in Turkey under Erdog.

Today the word “terrorism” is so stretched that you lose the actual definition of terrorism. Soon if someone farts next to you could be claimed as “an terrorist act”. This is exactly the main goal of those who created the terrorism – to use it as they please in any form they desire and anywhere they need to gain their own benefits claiming they fight terrorism. This is the old Khazars method: First create problem, second wait until it reaches a boiling point, and finally get involved “resolving” it reaching your own benefits…

Quien asesina a personas civiles simplemente son terroristas, es lo que hacen los llamados “rebeldes moderados”, algunos de ellos hasta decapitan niños y difunden sus atrocidades por redes sociales.
