BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:30 A.M.) – A U.S. reconnaissance drone was allegedly spotted spying on the Syrian military’s new S-300 air defense system.

According to the Arabic-language section of Russia Today, a U.S. RC-135V reconnaissance drone flew hundreds of kilometers to the Syrian coastal province of Latakia to spy on the S-300 system.

The report said that the U.S. drone took off from the Souda Airbase in the Greek island of Crete.

No other details were released.

The U.S. Coalition has not commented on Russia Today’s claim.

The Syrian military received the S-300 air defense system in early October after tumultuous exchange of hostilities with the Israeli Air Force resulted in the downing of a Russian IL-20 reconnaissance aircraft off the coast of Latakia.

Yes, the scum of the Earth are becoming desperate now. They have to unleash all manner of lies, propaganda and fools upon the internet. They know their time is near and are flailing about to try to create more chaos and disrupt comment boards with their inane attempts to convince people that the earth is flat, so to speak. Witness the diatribe spewed by the one here who is their long running troll of excess BS. It’s too bad he doesn’t frequent other boards where he can be blocked. Here, I just ignore it. Reading his BS is an exercise… Read more »

WOW.. leave the article for a day after posting a comment, come back and have a look at how busy the Israelis have been over the last 24 hours. Apparently, they feel the desperate need to spend their whole day propagating their own facts and demeaning Muslims and Arabs. Should anyone be surprised?

RC-135V is NOT A DRONE. C-135 is the military version of Boeing 707.
RC-135V Rivet Joint is its SIGINT version

RC-135V is spying on EVERY electronic signal around, be it radars, tactical radios, cell/sat-phones, etc etc etc. Everything is relayed directly to NSA super-computers, deciphered, analysed, etc

So what? US would be stupid if they did not.

“Stupid”? It’s a defensive weapon. It’s meant to protect their airspace. Why should the Americans or anyone else be worried unless they’re violating their airspace or launching strikes on the Syrians? They’re not legally allowed in Syrian airspace or territory and yet they violate their sovereignty daily. No one is forcing them to be there or go there and no one wants them there. The only stupid thing they’re doing is perpetuating this war at the behest of Israel to weaken Iran.

ROFL! If Yanks pull out, Syria will end with a Turkish invasion and a genocide of the Kurds. In case you wouldn’t know, Russians also want Iran out!
Syrian neutrality is the KEY and the PIVOT to stabilise the whole region.

Turkey also has to be pushed out and Erdogan is even a bigger problem than Khamenei : Turkey has much stronger economy and military and has became even more implied implied in the funding of global terrorism.

The goal is to both stabilise the region and avoid a regional war.
You seem not to get that Khamenei is in the Muslim-Brotherhood just like Erdogan. Iran and Turkey are allies and both are in bed with ISIS.

The plan is to sectarianise both Iraq and Syria. Northern Iraq+Syria going to Turkey, the south going to Iran. They want to rebuild their past empires with a shitlamist flavour.

Didn’t you noticed that Russia is not so hot at selling advanced weapons to both Syria and Iran? Same for China who asked a 30y control of their biggest oil field for two J-10 squadrons

Daeshbags-Sux

Daeshbags-Sux

While Russia took more than a decade to deliver just two S-300 battalions. The number delivered to Syria is very limited. Russia also didn’t sold Flankers to any of both…

Daeshbags-Sux

And in case you didn’t noticed, Israelis never said “Assad must go!” and were pretty furious at Obama and his clique, guess why? Destabilising Syria has NEVER been their interest!

Daeshbags-Sux

Daeshbags-Sux

Even Mossad late boss Meir Dagan publicly said it!
Why d’you think Israelis haven’t e.g. dismantled SyAAF and SyADF?

Daeshbags-Sux

Had they wanted Assad to fall, they had 4 years to do this before Russia’s intervention and as Hezb is implied and there were trans-border shelling into Israel…

Daeshbags-Sux

They had all the legal means to intervene in such a way, so, Mr. BDS [Befehlshaber der Sipo], you fall flat on your ideology that sees any dog crushed by a car to be blamed on Israel.

Israeli officials have said we do not expect his government to last more than a few months in 2012 westerners and their allies would take care of it , if Russia would not have interfered probably it would have happened and the black flag would have waved in Damascus

I’m afraid you are paranoid Daesh, or should i say erdogollum. There are no Iranian trolls on here but there are plenty of hasbara and JIDF trolls and their sockpuppets. For those of us who are familiar with the modus operandi of your little book of “explanations “it is a simple task to expose your deviant ways.

@Rabbe, our Frenchman is genuine IMHO. Not all that are pro Israel are Hasbara. And there are definitely some of the Iranian Republic’s troll army stationed around here. They are so repetitive: Zio here Zio there.

You do not have to enter Syria to spy with a RC-135V.

Yes quite right, it’s simple logic. But Israel and the US want regime change in Tehran and it seems that they’ll stop at nothing to see it done. It is blatant who the real warmongers are.

Daeshbags-Sux

Iranians also want a regime change in Tehran, except those related to the regime’s mafia. Any way, nobody sane wants countries ruled by moronic bigots. The sooner the regime will be changed, the better!

It’s a shame the Yanks didn’t made from one stone two hits in 1991 : they should have done a Desert Storm spillover on the shïthead mullahs too and gave ’em their long overdue Nemesis.

Daeshbags-Sux

Daeshbags-Sux

In fact, the tools for the regime’s oppression on population are well known. Just hammer these with cruise missiles thus disrupting their chain of command…

Daeshbags-Sux

Daeshbags-Sux

And soon the (mostly young) population will hang the mullahs to the 1st street light available.

Daeshbags-Sux

Daeshbags-Sux

98% of Iranians don’t even intend Friday prayers in mosques which are desperately [for mullahs] empty. There are already riots 🙂 Time get the lousy mullahs lost 🙂

Just distribute small arms, maybe give air support if the regular army doesn’t side with the population but they’re likely to do so since it’s a draft army.

@Rabbe, US needs friction with Iran to keep Iranian production out of the oil market. High prices make that US shoal oil is competitive. EU and some others do not want that.

The same about Russian gas. The issues are more or less artificial.

p.s. No idea whether they US want hot war.

p.s. No idea whether they US want hot war. Very unlikely they want this because Israel will be in the firing line. They are happy just to let the ISIS jihadists and other mercenaries including the Turks and Kurds keep on fighting among themselves and destabilise the region which is the US aim. The unintended consequence of all this is of course Iranian and Hezbollah coming in to side with Syria en masse, i think the US and Israelis were hoping the collapse of syria would have been achieved sooner rather than later, before Iranian and Russian intervention which surely… Read more »
