BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:45 P.M.) – The U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sent hundreds of fighters to the Deir Ezzor front on Wednesday in order to intensify their offensive against the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh).

According to reports, the Syria Democratic Forces sent at least 300 fighters to reinforce their troops at the Hajin front in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor on Wednesday.

With their troops already inside of Hajin, the Syrian Democratic Forces are looking to crack Daesh’s main line of defense and capture the entire town.

Hajin is considered Daesh’s last major stronghold in Syria; they have been in control of the town since they seized eastern Deir Ezzor from the Free Syrian and Jabhat Al-Nusra.

Those troops are from Tabqah, liberated may 2017 by SDF. Since that time the town is staunchly supportive of SDF and trained nany fighters for them.
