BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:15 P.M.) – A Syriac commander from the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) reportedly defected to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in northern Aleppo this week.

According to a military communique from Aleppo, the commander Fadi Gabriel left the U.S.-backed group for the Syrian Arab Army after negotiating with the high command in Damascus.

No further details were released regarding this reported defection.

If people want to leave the SDF, imo they should just go, give notice and go. Do not betray your brothers and sisters, just go.

If thode SDF who wish to reconcile with Damascus ‘give notice ‘ of their intent, the US will likely have them killed or imprisoned in Al tanf.
