BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:45 P.M.) – Two Palestinian teenagers were killed by the Israeli border forces on Friday while attending the Great March of Return protests inside the Gaza Strip.

According to the Quds News Network, the first Palestinian teenager killed was 14-year-old Hassan Iyad Al-Shalabi, who was shot an Israeli sniper during today’s protests.

Following the death of Al-Shalabi, another eight protesters were reportedly wounded during the protests east of Khan Younis.

A second teenager, 18-year-old Hamza Ishtawi, was reportedly shot and killed towards the end of the protests.

The Great March of Return began last year to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the ‘Nakba’ (translation: disaster), which resulted in the mass diaspora of approximately 700,000 Palestinians from their homes.

It rose to 1.2 millions people when other countries joined the Arab-League later, e.g. there… Read more »
