BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:05 P.M.) – The Turkish General Staff announced on Tuesday that their forces had captured at least eight towns in Syria’s Afrin region.

According to the Turkish General Staff, their rebel allies began the day by capturing the village of Zaytouna in the Sharan District of northeast Afrin.

Following the capture of Zaytouna, the Turkish-backed rebels managed to take control of Hayyam and Surayn in the nearby Bulbul District, forcing the Kurdish YPG to retreat further south.

The Turkish-backed rebels would then capture the towns of Ankali Shmaliyah and Karkanli in Bulbul and then Arpaviran in the Sharan District.

To conclude their morning operations, the Turkish-backed rebels took control of Marwana and Haykajah in the Jandaris District of southern Afrin.

  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
