BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:10 A.M.) – Turkey and Iran will be conducting a joint operation to eliminate the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, the state-owned Anadolu Agency reported this morning.

Citing the Turkish Interior Ministry, the Anadolu Agency said that this operation will focus on northern Iraq, which is where the PKK allegedly has a large presence.

The Turkish military and their air force have been heavily bombarding northern Iraq for several months now; however, their attacks are usually limited to airstrikes and shelling.

The PKK is currently considered a terrorist group in both Turkey and Iran; they have been outlawed by these neighboring countries for several years now.

I think that Erdogoon has touched the third-rail by going into some military teaming with Iran. Erdog likes to provoke, this may be the provocation too much…
