BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 A.M.) – The Turkish military killed at least 26 fighters from the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the Qandil Mountains region of northern Iraq today, Turkish state-owned Anadolu Agency reported.

According to the report, the Turkish Air Force carried out a number of airstrikes on PKK targets in the Qandil Mountains, killing these 26 Kurdish fighters in the process.

The PKK, which has fought a decades-old insurgency against the state in southeastern Turkey, has bases in the Qandil region.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan recently vowed to “drain the terror swamp” in Qandil.

It’s nonsense. There are no Turk forces anywhere near Qandil. They would be slaughtered if they tried. Probably they’re upset at the latest PKK video on Gerilla TV which shows a team of Turk soldiers being shot to pieces in close-up and slow-mo.
