Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said the US withdrawal process from Syria should be controlled by Turkey along with Russia and Iran to prevent “terror organisations” from taking up the vacated space, during a press conference in Ankara on Wednesday.

“We see that the US is having difficulties in pulling out. It is not that easy to leave after you get engaged, intertwine that much with a terror organisation,” Cavusoglu said referring to the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

“We want to coordinate this process with Russia and Iran, with whom we have been working together since the Astana process,” Cavusoglu added.

Cavusoglu visited Moscow in late December to discuss the situation in Syria.

On December 20, US President Donald Trump announced the withdrawal of US troops from Syria, declaring that the US had defeated the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL).

I think that Trump did a smart move by saying that Erdogan is responsible for taking out ISIL/ISIS – because it’s not going to happened – Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was Erdogans best friend end he bought all the oil Baghdadi managed to steal from Syria and Irak, for sale to corrupt Europeans. – Erdogan is blocked and Trump knows why!

Everything you said was right except the oil was not for Europe, it was going directly to Tel Aviv. Have you ever heard Khazars to miss a great deal on anything?!?

@USR, You stole my comment. Re-exports were mostly to Israel – Blink: the Turk traders shared the loot with their Khazar brothers.

p.s. The EU states get oil from corrupt Norway etc.

Blink: Some claim that most of the world’s modern Jewish population, as well as the Yiddish language, come from Turkey and not other parts of the Middle East. https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/most-jews-descended-ancient-turkey-new-study-2107639949 And some claim the Ashkenazim are the decedents of the Khazars.

Stern, Thank you for the article! I’ve read it. I truly believe what he has found about the DNA is 100% true. However, his explanation why this DNA was found there is WRONG. Please, read from Wikipedia this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khazars Especially, pay more attention at the paragraph “Rise of the Rus’ and the collapse of the Khazarian state” and you will quickly realize that Khazars run away from their mother-land (in order to safe their lives of course) mostly to South and West (where were Iranians and Greeks after that). So, some of them settled in (modern) North Turkey, some in… Read more »

@USR, IMHO You have one plausible interpretation. I read about the article more long ago. https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/news/nr/dna-sat-nav-uncovers-ancient-ashkenaz-1.569403 They see it differently.

“The findings of the study, published today (Wednesday 20 April 2016) in Genome Biology and Evolution, led researchers to believe that towards the end of the first millennium, Ashkenazic Jews may have relocated to Khazaria before moving into Europe half a millennium later after the fall of the Khazarian Empire, and during a time when the international trading networks collapsed.”

p.s. The topic is highly controversial since it touches self definitions.

But it is nice to know that even Turks and Ashkenasim could be brother nations. Blink.

p.s. I find especially the linguistic interpretation & evidence not convincing.

Stern, if you keep reading about so called “Jews”, you will find very different information regarding where they come from (including their own version of the Bible). You will even find some people are trying to claim they are originating from Egypt. What I’ve found myself and most believable version is they are actually Arabs (in that time Arabs were separated in many different tribes and fighting each other. They named themselves Arabs much later gathering many different tribes). One of that tribe (the future Khazars) are getting separated (before Arabs were united under that word) and moved to north… Read more »

@USR, i keep reading. AFAIR the Khazar empire was a multi ethnic trade empire with a probably Turk speaking aristocracy.

From what I know about recent DNA research Europeans, Middle Easterners and down to Iran/India come from three main sources and are a continuum of mixtures of all three. Blue eyed hunter gatherers with dark skin, brown eyed light skinned farmers who origin where they domesticated plants and Yamnaya who probably domesticated horses in the Russian steppes. They are also light skinned with blue or brown eyes and inheritted lactose tolerance.

@USR, the main differences between all are not “DNA or race” but language, culture and religion.

Actually, most of Israelis are Mizrahi or Sepharads 😉 And you forget that… the kingdom of Aram (Damascus) was a Jewish kingdom, that 2000 years ago, Alexandria had 1 million Jews while the majority of people living west of Euphrated in the Babylonian empire were Jews… In fact, DNA tests show that at the present day, the majorty of people between the Nile and the Euphrates are Jews whose ancestors were forced into Arabisation and Islamisation… In other terms, the ethnic time bomb is clicking. Uthman may have burnt all libraries and books to make tabula raza of this fact,… Read more »

@Daeshbags-Sux, I know and posted several times that the Ashkenasim founders of Israel have become a minority after the 1948 war caused a mass immigration of fecund Arab Jews whom the Muslim nations had forced to leave their homelands.

We all share common DNA from few three main sources. All the Eastern Mediterraneans share similar traits. No matter whether they are Greek Cypriots or from the Levant.

We all are part of a continuum of common DNA stocks and religion mostly determines with whom we marry. So Christians, Jews and Muslims have intermarried and mixed little for the last millennia. In spite of the same ancestry there are some differences now.

Even the bible tells the same story as modern DNA research. Hittites were speakers of an Indo Germanic language and have mixed with Jews.

The spread of the Yamnaya culture and DNA started in the bronze age. They are the probable spreaders of Indo European language also.

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/saudi-uae-egypt-israel-syria-khashoggi-1467976694 Senior intelligence officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Israel agreed at a meeting in a Gulf capital that they considered Turkey, rather than Iran, to be their major military rival in the region, and discussed plans to counter Ankara’s influence. The Israelis told the meeting that Iran could be contained militarily, but that Turkey had a far greater capability.
