President Trump has taken a seemingly conciliatory approach towards Ankara, posting a series of tweets in which he stressed that Turkey is an important trading partner that is “good to deal with.”

President Trump also weighed in on the US troop withdrawal from Syria, saying that Washington is in “no way” abandoning the Kurds.

The tweet comes on the heels of President Trump’s earlier tweet in which he warned Turkey against any rash actions in Syria. The US President threatened to obliterate the Turkish economy as “he has done it before” if Ankara goes “off-limits”.

On Saturday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Ankara will launch an offensive in Syria in the coming days to rid the border area from what Ankara perceives as terrorists. Erdogan also vowed to establish a safe zone and ensure the safe return of millions of refugees currently living in Turkey.

It’s becoming complicated… What now would be fun : the ErDOG starting an invasion and USAF dropping CBU-105 destroying all vehicles and shooting a few Turkish aircraft = Khamenei would think Trump is even more insane than himself…

The article is about Trump , Kurds and Turkey but you can’t help yourself by trying to put a knife into Khamenei . Your hatred and obsession with Iran knows no bounds.

I very highly doubt what you describe. Trump is not so smart but he is not so stupid either. If USA looses Turkey as a NATO ally this is going to be a major blow in USA Middle Eastern plans to control the region. If they loose Kurds they almost don’t loose nothing else than the oil that USA now gets for free from Syria. Also a potential US strike on Turkey’s aircraft would make the Sultan call Putin for help. This will become a MAJOR war. It’s going to be the beginning of the 3rd world war. For what?!?… Read more »

President Putin & Russia will not be interested to get further involved in any War with any one at this point of time he will not support Turki forget it. Selling the S-400 was a necessity for Russia as it got some much needed billions of dollars. After this Russians will not deal with an unreliable Turki. Russian economy is going through a very bad weather and President Putin will not want to risk to rock the fragile economy by any further huge expenses. He will let US & Turki break each others heads if they wish. As for Kurds… Read more »
