BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The Syrian military’s elite Tiger Forces have received orders to redeploy to the Idlib outskirts, a source from the group told Al-Masdar News this evening.
According to the source, several Tiger Forces will be redeployed to the government stronghold of Al-Suqaylabiyeh, where they will be moved to the front-lines near the historical town of Qal’at Al-Madiq.
The source said the Tiger Forces are expected to begin a new military operation once they reach the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
The Tiger Forces are one of the most successful units in the Syrian military; they have participated in several battles in the past, including the liberation of Deir Ezzor, Palmyra, and Kuweires Airbase.
Usually, if an offensive is to be launched by the Syrian military, the Tiger Forces or 4th Armored Division are usually deployed to the front to lead the operation.
