BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 A.M.) – The Syrian military uncovered a large weapons depot on Tuesday that was left behind by the jihadist rebels in the northern countryside of the Homs Governorate.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the military uncovered the weapons depot while combing through the key town of Al-Rastan.

The SANA report said that the Syrian military seized a large quantity of weapons, including a 130mm artillery piece, a 57mm artillery piece, mortar launchers and rounds, RPG shells, a sniper rifle, US-made M-16 rifles, portable missiles, 14.5 machine guns, and PKC machine guns, in addition to assorted types of ammo and a metal detector.

This is the third major weapons depot that has been uncovered by the Syrian Arab Army and their allies in the last week.
