BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) – The Syrian government has once again accused the U.S. Coalition of transporting leaders of the so-called “Islamic State” (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) to a safe location in eastern Syria.
According to state-owned SANA, U.S. Coalition helicopters picked up three Daesh commanders in the Al-Hasakah Governorate town of Sweidiyah this past weekend.
SANA said that this mission was carried out on November 10th near the Iraqi borer.
Contrary to the SANA report, Kurdish activists in northeast Syria said that the mission was conducted to arrest three Daesh commanders.
The U.S. Coalition has yet to comment on these latest reports.
