BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:10 P.M.) – Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a heavy assault on the key town of Kabani in the northeastern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.

Backed by heavy artillery and missile strikes, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Armored Division attempted to penetrate Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s defenses at the southern perimeter of Kabani.

However, following a fierce battle with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party, the Syrian Army was unable to breach the militant defenses, resulting in their subsequent retreat towards Kabani’s southern hills.

According to a report from this front, the Syrian military suffered a number of casualties while attempting to advance into Kabani. The report said many of the casualties came as a result of intense machine gun fire from the enemy forces.

The Syria Army has repeatedly tried to infiltrate the jihadist lines at Kabani, but each of their attacks has been repulsed by the militant forces thus far.

One thing is certain, those who support the “professional terrorists” do not know how to lose. They only know how to win because they have money, power and weapons. The beginning of the end for them was in the areas East Ghouta and Douma. That’s where they lost everything. Propaganda from White Helmets failed. All the lies, the fake photos and the fake videos failed. They couldn’t make “black propaganda” because they don’t know about these things. They forgot there’s anti-propaganda too. You’re using the second one to hit the first. You wait for their mistake and then you hit them the… Read more »

White Helmet crapaganda = al-Jazeera team.
I”ve personally debunked many of their videos, just by noticing mistakes in the staging of the propaganda.

You need to have a valuable target to use such a thing. In fact, one of the best weapons the Russians could field would be changing the fuel of their S-5, S-8 and S-13 aerial rockets just like they did with Kornet-D => Kornet-E, thus doubling the range, then start mass producing the Ugroza laser-guidance kit they presented at MAKS 1999. – S-5 warhead is on par with a RPG-7 grenade. With a range of 8-10km, it’s more than you need to take out a technical and they’re carried in pods of 32… – S-8 can demolish most of IFV,… Read more »

The first day, thermobarics bombs should be used in front of the first buildings.
The second day, on the first row of buildings.
What is the cost of these munitions compared to the costs of men?

SAA is attacking against the high ground and a n entrenched well armed, well trained opposition. 4th division is not a crack unit, even if stiffened up by some Tiger forces units. It will not be easy for them, even when supported by RuAF.

SAA is not a trusty army….just only Tiger forces or 104 brigade of RG in times of Gen Isam Zahredine…thats why they always need Hezbollah and IRGC to retake place as we have seen in west Qalamoun, Aleppo,Deir Ezzor among other fronts..

Then they are now in trouble as Hezbollah is recalling forces from Syria. They are close to broke now Iran has stopped paying. Iranian proxies likewise.

Won’t change anything : Hezb only protected a few besieged Shiite towns, and eventually a few Christian communities as they need to look good to Lebanese Maronites since Christians are 46% of Lebanese population and if these understand that that Hezb is doing a taqiyya and is in fact an enemy for Christians, Aoun’n’Co may team with the Sunnis and even Israel to liquidate Hebollah… The biggest of the “militants” have already been wiped out, both Hezb and IRGC are now useless any way, if they have ever been useful, which is questionable, since once their presence became known, it… Read more »

The MOAB was used in Afgha since the overpressure followed by vacuum is devastating against a caves+tunnels system. It can be interesting in the open if you go after a large army base, but unlike MOAB which is guided and can be delivered by a stealth bomber, FOAB is similar to old school Daisy-Cutter : to be dropped from e.g. an An-12 cargo bay (even if RT shown a Tu-160, you’ve clearly saw FOAB sliding out of a cargo aircraft aft ramp during the video, moreover, the size isn’t compatible with the Tu-160’s rotary launcher), then you have a free-fall… Read more »

First you need to use the air power. Then remove the Turkish invaders. But with Russia preferring to appease the Turkish invaders rather than their faithful ally Syria, it will be very difficult to root them out, especially after Syria’s Turkish enemies receive the S400 from Russia which they will surely use against the Syrian government air force. The only wise thing the Syrian government need to do is throw out the Russians from Syria and replace them with Iranian troops. Then let h**l brake lose until all of Syria is freed from both the US and Turkish invaders.

“and replace them with Iranian troops”
=> Well, Syria was near from disappearing in 2015 while 70-80k IRGC and many HezboLARD were operating in Syria…
As soon as Russia came, Khamenei pulled 90% of his troops out, THEN ONLY SAA started to retake land.
On the ground, only SAA and the Kurds were really fighting the terrorists, period!
