BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army is vowing to avenge the death of the 20+ soldiers that were the victims of the jihadist attack on the government’s positions near the Al-Ghaab Plain this morning.

According to a military source in nearby Latakia, the Syrian Army has shifted their focus to the jihadist rebels of the Hurras Al-Deen group and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

The Syrian Arab Army has been pounding the jihadist positions all day in the Al-Ghaab Plain, as they look to avenge their losses in this rural region in northwestern Syria.

The source said that the Syrian Army may request their air force to resume their airstrikes on the Al-Ghaab Plain and nearby Jisr Al-Shughour District.

The Syrian Air Force has not launched any strikes in northwestern Syria since the Sochi Agreement was put in place on September 17th.

Delaying attack on Idlib can also demoralize the rank & file of the SAA. These guys have been fighting on since early 2012 and it is now close to more than 6+ years since the Syrian War is going on. I believe Russia should just tell Turkey to go to h**l. But Russians have other vested interests. They want to dislodge Turkey from the NATO and take it away from US & Europe.

Turkey is arm twisting Iran & Russia and stopping SAA from starting the attack on Idlib. The buffer zone has become a b**t of jokes. Terrorists aren’t adhering to the truce and continuously attacking SAA positions. It is time SAA should start their operations against these terrorists in Idlib and clear this area. Rest of Syria is now almost cleared except the resurgence of Daesh in Alleppo and Dier Ezzor again. Giving time to these terrorists is allowing them to consolidate their positions and allow them to train and launch surprise attacks on SAA and gives them more time to… Read more »
