BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored another big advance in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo, today, capturing at least five towns from the jihadist rebels in the Jabal Al-Hoss area.

Led by elements of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army captured the towns of Ram Al-Helu, Jadiyan, Um Jaran, Banan Al-Hoss, and Mufalasat in the southeastern countryside of Aleppo.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Army has reached the key town of Al-Hajal, putting them within distance of linking up with their forces near the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport in Idlib.

If they can link up with their forces, they will have effectively cutoff the jihadist rebels in eastern Idlib from their main supply line in Turkey.
