Latest map of the ongoing battle in the northwestern region of Syria.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:20 A.M.) – The Syrian Army is preparing to regain full control of the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib, the Sputnik New Agency’s Arabic language channel reported.

Sputnik quoted a war correspondent as saying that the Syrian Army has spread its forces to the southern and southwestern administrative borders of Idlib in a bid to accomplish its military operations in the Sahl al-Ghab region of northwestern Hama.

The correspondent pointed out that the Syrian Army plans to widen the scope of the military operation, adding that the trend of the military operations shows that the Syrian Army will directly move from the recently captured areas in northern Hama towards the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun in southern Idlib.

“Once the Syrian Army captures Khan Sheikoun, the terrorists will be militarily defeated in the towns of al-Hobeit and Kafr Zita in northern Hama.”

The war correspondent said that Syrian Army advances will also help reopen Aleppo-Hama Highway.

In a relevant development on Sunday, the Syrian Army spread to the borders of Idlib province after advancing in northwestern Hama and regaining control over several towns and villages.

The Syrian Army troops also managed to take control of the towns of Meidan Ghazal and al-Mostariheh at the Jabal Shahshabo axis.

The SAA is on a roll and needs to isolate Turkish occupation forces that are supporting the headchoppers. Once Turkish supply lines are cut in Idlib, they will be forced out. The Turks have suffered over a thousand casualties since they invaded northern Syria and the Anatolian peasants who serve as cannon fodder for the megalomaniac Erdogan are getting restless. Turkish media and TV are now banned from showing the growing funerals of dead conscripts returning home to grieving families. Turkey thinks that like its Zionist masters, it can occupy the best agricultural lands of Syria, it is sadly mistaken.

@Ilya Ilyayev, agreed – the cutting the Turkish supply lines of the Sultan’s ghazi is paramount to ending the Syrian war.

Indeed, Turkey so far has paid a limited price, if the SAA and its allies increase the cost of Turkish occupation, Erdogan will have to save face. As the municipal elections despite massive AKP fraud showed, he even lost even Istanbul. The poor religious Anatolian peasant villages supply the bulk of Turkish conscripts as the rich get military service deferment and as the body bags grow, there is now visible unrest in Turkey with anti-war sentiment and graffiti on walls despite a repressive police state.

@Ilya Ilyayev, agreed – the “peasants” always pay the price.

Erdogan has promised the nationalists to make Turkey great again. Turkey has a trade imbalance. Among other things fuel is a drain to Turkish coffers – especially the poor pay much. So Erdogan has voiced irredentist calls eying fossil fuel rich areas in Iraq, Syria and the continental shelf of Greece and Cyprus. These ambitions are shared by many. Turkey has a big population and a big army.

p.s. On the down side a number of states may ally against the Sultan’s neo-Ottomen ambition to get “domestic” fossil fuel. The homelands of Interested parties in the fuel production my join such a coalition.

“Turkey thinks that like its Zionist masters”
=> Turkey is one of the main funders of Hamas with Qatar and Iran! (note that Hamas officially supports al-Nusra/HTS)
The leaders of these 3 countries are all in the Ikhwan! It’s obvious for AKP and the Bani-Thani but less for Iran, nevertheless, you must be seriously in the Muslim Brotherhood to translate into Farsi the integral of the huge Sayeed Qutb writings, right?
And the translator is????
Ali Khamenei himself! ?????
Global Jihad is very ecumenical, just like when Imad Mugniyeh trained Ossama and his close aides ?????
