BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) – Several Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers were killed on Wednesday when a group of jihadist rebels ambushed their positions in northwestern Hama.

Led by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, the jihadist rebels carried out the ambush at the outskirts of Al-Hakoura, which is a town near the front-lines in northwestern Hama.

According to a military source, the Syrian Army was caught off guard by the ambush because they were changing guard at the time of the attack by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

The source said at least eleven soldiers have been confirmed killed-in-action; this number could jump in the coming hours.

This latest ambush by Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham comes just days after they carried out a similar attack that killed 19 soldiers in the western part of Aleppo city.

Due to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s recent expansion in northwestern Syria, they have been able to take advantage of the Sochi Agreement in order to regroup and launch attacks against the Syrian Armed Forces.

SAA will lose a wininng war if this continue for long . SAA is being overconfident and depending on Russia to much. Sochi agreement is useless and Russia don’t care of this how many SAA is getting killed look like Russia is helping this Alqaeda to please Turkey for their own benefit. SAA has to take action or give the Syria to this jihadist simple

Indeed, Russia is trying to lure Turkey out of the American sphere but in the end those Turks would backstab you and chose for their Jihadists proxies. How many Syrians have to die for the Russians and say enough is enough, the Turks are not to be trusted.

When is enough is enough? This so-called “agreement” between the Turkish regime and Russia is just a way for the Turkish regime to save their Al Qaeda proxy jihadists and strenghten them. That flirting of Russia with those Turks has no advantage for Syria..i hope Russia who their real allies are, those untrustworthy Turks would backstab you if they got the chance.

It is not easy for Russia, despite that Russia realizes that Turkey is not a trusty country, why ? because Russia is having strong economical and commercial agreement which represents billions of dollars agreement between them. Of course, this could be just a tactic used by USA_NATO to control Russia, which is in fact what is happening. I believe, Russia agreed with USA (Lavrov-Kerry talks) about Syria partition of land as it is right now, only 45% of the original land for Syria people.

Time for the Syrian Arab Army to step up and retake the Province of Idlib together with West and North Aleppo and all the way west to the Mountains and the Coast. No More pussyfooting around waiting for Putin & Erdogan to agree that Erdogan will do now what he agreed to do 7 months ago and that he will ensure his Militants of Nusra Front / HTS will leave Idlib and disappear back across the border and melt into the many countries from which they come. This needs to be time-limited: 5 days to get out and then attack… Read more »
