BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) – A number of Russian warplanes have been spotted over the Idlib Governorate in the last 48 hours, a Syrian military source told Al-Masdar News.

According to the source, the Russian warplanes were specifically concentrated on the western countryside of Idlib, which is where several foreign jihadists are currently active.

The Russian warplanes were likely focused on the Jisr Al-Shughour District and Jabal Al-Zawiyah, as these two areas have a large presence of jihadists from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party.

Due to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s recent expansion in the Idlib Governorate, Al-Masdar has learned from a military officer in Damascus that the commanders of the Syrian and Russian forces are once again discussing a potential offensive in this region of the country.

The officer said that the Russian military has been pressuring Turkey to either expel the jihadists or allow the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to clear the demilitarized zone.

Please refer to my previous comment on Turkey… Ah Turkey, a filthy revolting country with a whole history of: 1) Numerous genocides (e.g. Armenians, Assyrians, Greeks, Bulgarians, Serbians, Albanians, Arabs ===> they killed 40,000 Shia Muslims in Iraq etc etc) If you don’t believe me check this out – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persecution_of_minority_Muslim_groups 2) Discrimination (Sunni Muslims were seen as superior anyone else was either killed or treated like trash) 3) Lies and deception (one of the many examples was breaking countless treaties calling for peace between Serbia, Hungary, Austria etc etc – the Turks ignored all these treaties despite signing and agreeing… Read more »

Erdogan won’t be happy…
And I’m ready to bet that SAA will more be into pushing HTS to walk on Turkish puppets rather than exterminating them 😉

“The officer said that the Russian military has been pressuring Turkey to either expel the jihadists or allow the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to clear the demilitarized zone.”
=> Since when Turkey has the right to allow SAA to operate into Syria?
Who do Turks think they are?
Erdogan must know his place : in the septic tank of history!
