BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:25 A.M.) – A Russian Air Force plane landed in the Venezuelan capital on Monday, the monitoring website, Flight Radar 24, displayed on their platform.

According to the information from Flight Radar 24, an Ilyushin IL-62 (tail number RA-86496) arrived at the Maiquetia International Airport in Caracas on Monday.

Two Russian air force planes landed in Venezuela in March carrying Russian defense officials and 100 troops, leading the United States to accuse Russia of “reckless escalation” of the situation in the struggling South American nation.

This is the same Russian aircraft that arrived in Caracas in March; it would later prompt U.S. officials to accuse Moscow of building up its forces inside of Venezuela.

U.S. President Donald Trump in March ordered Russia to remove all troops from Venezuela, while Russia’s foreign ministry said the planes were only carrying specialists who were servicing arms sales contracts.

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Tuesday, as quoted by Interfax, that the plane was not transporting troops to Venezuela, but rather, delivering service parts to the Bolivarian Republic’s military.

  1. How dare the Russians provide such support to Maduro’s military. The latter will put up an unfair fight if the US attacks and invades
