BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force launched several airstrikes over the western countryside of the Idlib Governorate, Monday, destroying several jihadist trenches and vehicles in the process.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Russian Air Force launched over 20 airstrikes over the jihadist stronghold of Jisr Al-Shughour, targeting the positions of the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP) and Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

The video footage below was released by an opposition activist near Jisr Al-Shughour.

The source added that the Russian airstrikes were conducted in retaliation for the jihadist missile assault on the government stronghold of Al-Qurdaha in rural Latakia.

As a result of the Al-Qurdaha attack, at least two civilians were killed and 5 other people were badly injured when a jihadist missile struck a crowded street inside the city.
