BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 P.M.) – A Russian diplomatic delegation met with several Iranian officials on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing war in Syria
The two delegations agreed that Iran and Russia must continue combating terrorists in Syria until they are completely eradicated from the country and region.
The meeting was reportedly held between Russia’s Special Envoy to Syria Alexander Lavrentiev, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani, and Iran’s Assistant Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari.
Both delegations discussed ways to bring peace to Syria, while also working to incorporate some of the agreements from the October 27th meeting in Turkey.
