Putin

Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Emmanuel Macron of France had a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Group of Twenty summit in Argentina on Friday. The two leaders focused on the situation in Ukraine and Syria.

The French leader said he is glad to have an opportunity to speak with his Russian counterpart as there are many problems he wants to discuss.

“Thus, it concerns the situation in Syria. We see that after he very useful meeting in Istanbul the situation has changed. It also concerns the situation in Ukraine, especially in the light of the developments of the recent days,” Macron said, adding that he would like to discuss with Putin the implementation of the Minsk agreements, issues of cybersecurity, and the general architecture of security in Europe.

The Russian leader warmly greeted his French counterpart and invited him to speak about bilateral relations. “Last year, bilateral trade went up by 16.5% and the same upwards dynamics are observed this year,” he stressed.

France has no chemical weapons. Actually, she #1 pushed for abolition of chemical weapons before anyone else and for very good reasons… Never heard about Verdun?

@Daeshbags-Sux, Very good reasons, the French were the ones who started to use tear gas which was forbidden already in in WW I – only to find that German chemists knew much more. Blink

@Sweet Robert it was not the France but the UK that founded and equipped the White Helmets with toxic chemicals.

Nobody wants a war while we can negotiate: The sea of Azov is the common internal waters if Ukraine and Russia not international water. So NATO cannot just run the blockade.

Moreover, Ukraine is NOT a NATO country…
So unless UNSC orders NATO to act, which won’t happen since Russia would veto…
