BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:30 P.M.) – Great numbers of Syrian Army amour is massing at designated launch points near the frontline in Damascus’ East Ghouta region as a much anticipated government offensive against local militant groups nears Zero Hour.

The offensive to come will involve many hundreds of main battle tanks (most of them heavily up-armored) in addition to hundreds more armored support vehicles such a BMPs and Shilkas.

According to Al-Masdar News journalist Ibrahim Joudeh, the blow about to be delivered by the Syrian Army against militant groups across rebel-held areas of East Ghouta will in fact represent the biggest offensive ever to be conducted in the vicinity of the Syrian capital.

Reports from military-affiliated sources indicate that the Syrian Army will storm militant defenses around East Ghouta from multiple directions – at least three attack axes are expected in the first wave of the offensive strike.
