BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:00 A.M.) – A Palestinian man was sentenced to eleven years in prison on Friday after the Israeli authorities uncovered his plot to assassinate Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barakat.

Mohamad Jabal Rashideh, 31, of eastern Jerusalem, was allegedly plotting with two others to carry out the assassinations of Netanyahu and Barakat in Jerusalem.

“Working on orders from terrorist operatives abroad, Muhammad planned to carry out a number of significant terror attacks against a variety of targets,” the Israeli security services said on Friday.

“According to the security agency, Rashdeh was working for members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC), a terrorist group in Syria that fights for the Assad regime and is not affiliated with the locally-based PFLP from which it split in the 1960s. The Syria-based group was responsible for a series of fatal terror attacks in the 1970s and 1980s, including an attack on a school bus that claimed the lives of nine children and three adults,” the Times of Israel reported.

The Syrian government nor the PFLP have commented on these latest accusations.

Ah! Not only is he a Palestinian terrorist but he is a Palestinian terrorist with ties to a group in Syria, i think you can all see the way this is going.
Only 11 years for attempting to assassinate the Israeli prime minister, not bad, Palestinian children get longer sentences just for throwing stones.
All the hasbara spin has left me feeling dizzy i can tell you ! 🙁

LOL, PFLP has long records of terrorist actions, killing many innocent people in many countries, including children.
IDF should not take gloves : legally speaking, terrorists are irregular fighters and according to the Hague convention, you can somarily execute irregular fighters on the spot, just after capture.

The standard dialogue in Astrix & Obelix Comic is “These ROMANS ARE CRAZY”

Same thing applies here just replace the ROMANS.

Netanyahu is old. No need to kill him, he will croak soon due to old age. And he will burn in h**l forever. May we see the liberation of Palestine and the fall of the Zionist entity soon. Amen.

Huhu, such creeps are total idiots : Bibi is classic right wing (Likud) and to be frank, pretty moderate if not way too much so : I’d label him as a chickenhawk. Just assassinate him, then you won’t pave the way for the leftist Zionist Party (FKA Labour) but instead, you’ll end with Avigdor Lieberman from the far-right ‘Jewish Home’ ors someone as hawkish as him and be sure that IDF will go into a justified serious rampage and the long overdue sending Fakestinians back to Arab-Palestine AKA kingdom of Jordan or Egypt for Gazans. Al-Sisi is unlikely to refuse… Read more »
