BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:40 P.M.) – Israeli Prime Minister stated on Sunday that the recent attack by his nation’s air force struck a number of “Iranian and Hezbollah targets” in Syria.
“The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has attacked hundreds of Iranian and Hezbollah targets. Just in the past 36 hours, the air force attacked Iranian depots full of Iranian weapons in the Damascus International Airport,” Netanyahu said, speaking at the weekly cabinet meeting in his Jerusalem office, as cited by The Times of Israel.
He also added that “the recent attacks prove that we are as determined as every to act against Iran and Syria,” according to Haaretz.
Despite Netanyahu’s claims, the Syrian military reported that Israeli Air Force struck their munitions warehouse near the Damascus International Airport and another missile storage facility near the town of Jdeidat Artouz.
At least four soldiers were wounded as a result of this attack by the Israeli military on Friday.
