Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran to leave Syria “fast,” saying Israel will continue its “aggressive policy there,” during a ceremony in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

“I heard yesterday the spokesman of the Iranian foreign ministry saying ‘Iran has no military presence in Syria, we are only advising,’ well, I advise them to get out of there fast because we will continue our aggressive policy there as we promised and as we [will] do it with no fear, and relentlessly,” said Netanyahu.

He was attending the appointment ceremony of incoming Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi.

Netanyahu also spoke about other of Israel’s recent foreign policy undertakings, saying, “we have acted responsibly and sensibly to thwart the strengthening of those who seek to harm us.”

“We have done this by blocking the Iran nuclear deal and renewing sanctions upon it. We have to puncture its lies, it lies all the time, it lies about the nuclear deal and we exposed that by taking out its secret nuclear archive in Tehran,” the prime minister added.

This is a Civilized Place for Public Discussion

Please treat this discussion with the same respect you would a public park. We, too, are a shared community resource — a place to share skills, knowledge and interests through ongoing conversation.

These are not hard and fast rules, merely guidelines to aid the human judgment of our community and keep this a clean and well-lighted place for civilized public discourse.

Improve the Discussion

Help us make this a great place for discussion by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. If you are not sure your post adds to the conversation, think over what you want to say and try again later.

The topics discussed here matter to us, and we want you to act as if they matter to you, too. Be respectful of the topics and the people discussing them, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Straitjacket has been abandoned to Thorazine long ago.
Your Khamenei should give a try since only a schizo can believe you can run a country by a stupid book of religion.
When it comes to Bibi, you’re not paranoid when you have real enemies.
You’d better pray he stills in place : if ever Avigdor Lieberman ends as PM, replacing him, well, you’ll regret Bibi for sure : Lieberman is a real extremist, just like your masters in Tehran, but he’ll have 5x the military budget the creeps ruling you can align…
