An undated handout photo distributed by Syrian News Agency (SANA) on July 9, 2012 shows a missile being launched from a mobile platform during a live ammunitions exercise by Syrian air defence forces in an undisclosed location.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – Last night, the Israeli Air Force fired several missiles towards the vicinity of the Damascus International Airport, prompting the Syrian military to activate their air defenses to intercept the attack.

While the Syrian military managed to intercept many of the missiles, some of the Israeli projectiles did strike a warehouse near the Damascus International Airport.

As a result of this missile attack by the Israeli Air Force, several loud explosions were heard in east Damascus.

No casualties were reported by the Syrian military; however, they did state that there was significant damage to a munitions warehouse that was located outside the airport.

In the videos below, the Syrian military’s air defense was filmed intercepting several Israeli missiles above the night-sky of Damascus:

Simply since they’re not a terror regime but a democracy fighting for its survival in a region filled with fascist dictatorships and rligious fanatics who often vow to genocide the Jews… Just think that Iran kills way more Iranians than IDF kills Hamas terrorists and you get it! Now, IDF ISN’T targetting SAA at all, they’re targetting Hezbollah and IRGC and most of the time, just their gear, not the fighters. They will only shoot at SAA if SAA shoots at them first… Since SAA dudes are not willing to die for religious fanatics like Hezb or IRGC which, BTW,… Read more »

Wow, just wow. What a pile of nonsense, because the simple fact stands that Iran has not attacked another country out of aggression for about two hundred years (but you never mentioned that). You also failed to mention that Iran has a presence in Syria at the request of the Syrian government. Some of the things you say are relatively accurate. However, you do provide half-truths and deliberately leave out important information. Try being more fair when you analyse information. Maybe then you’ll get somewhere in life, instead of wasting your and everyone else’s time by having to read through… Read more »

Note that the blasts we see are Pantsir’s automatic auto-destruction that occurs when no target ends being hit! Intercept a JDAM or some AGM where you have a 200-900kg warhead, you end with a HUGE explosion, not such little ones…
