BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels in the Idlib countryside attacked the Hama Military Airport this evening following a powerful assault by the Russian and Syrian air forces.

According to a report from the area, the jihadist rebels attempted to bomb the Hama Airport using their attack drones. The report said the Syrian military managed to foil the assault before the drones could bomb the base.

This latest drone attack marks the second time in the last 24 hours that the jihadists have attempted to bomb the Hama Military Airport.

Footage filmed overnight from Wednesday to Thursday appears to show Syrian Army air defence systems intercepting what Syrian state media reported was a drone near Hama airport.

Flashes of anti-aircraft fire can be seen lighting up the night sky, as explosions boom in the distance.

The time where you could build 12,000 units of a fighter aircraft is long gone. Nevertheless, any modern fighter jet carries as much payload as a B-17 if not as a B-29… It’s a pity that Russia came with such guidance kit before any other country : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugroza Then neglected to – Mass produce it – Upgrade their S-series aerial rockets in order to range at least 8-10km (this is the max range you can hope from ManPADS and 57mm AA-guns) With a few mods, a SyAAF L-39ZA could replace the central 23mm gun by a laser-targetting EO/IRST, the 2nd… Read more »
