BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – A large number of reinforcements from the Syrian Republican Guard and Palestinian-led Al-Quds Brigade made their way to the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate, a military source told Al-Masdar News this afternoon.
According to a military source in Mhardeh, the Syrian Republican units from Aleppo and Damascus made their way to the Kernaz axis in northwestern Hama as they prepare to take part in the next Syrian Arab Army (SAA) offensive in this area.
In addition to the Republican Guard, the Al-Quds Brigade also sent reinforcements from Aleppo to the Kernaz axis.
The Al-Quds Brigade already had forces in northwestern Hama, but they were primarily used for storming Tal Malah alongside the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF).
In the coming days, the Syrian Arab Army is expected to launch an attack on a new axis in northwestern Hama as they seek to expand their presence in this region.
However, before they can open a new axis, the Syrian Arab Army will need to capture Tal Malah, which overlooks the main road between the government strongholds of Mhardeh and Al-Sqaylabiyeh.
The Syrian Army has been attacking this hilltop almost daily, but they have been able to secure any gains they have made there.
