BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:00 A.M.) – For the third day in a row, the Turkish-backed rebels scored a big advance against the YPG forces, seizing several areas inside the northwestern corridor of the Afrin region.

Led by the Free Syrian Army (FSA), the Turkish-backed rebels managed to capture three towns inside the Rajou District of Afrin on Sunday.

According to pro-opposition activists, the Turkish-backed forces captured the towns of Darwisha, Hajikanli Fouqani, and Hajikanali Tahtani; this resulted in their forces establishing fire control over Rajou.

Rajou is one of the largest towns in Afrin and it is the gateway into northwestern corridor of this imperative region near the Turkish border.
