The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sent a military convoy to the Al-Raqqa province near the Syrian border with Turkey, the Fars News Agency alleged this week.

Citing field sources in the Raqqa province, the Fars Agency reported on Wednesday that the SDF has dispatched its forces and equipment from Raqqa city to the Turkish border.

They added that over 140 SDF fighters have been transferred from Qandil square to the town of Tal Abyad in northern Raqqa near the Turkish border.

The Fars News sources said in another development, the SDF has also detained a number of its defected members in different parts of Raqqa.

The possibility for the Turkish army’s military operations against the Kurds in Eastern Euphrates has increased as tensions between Washington and Ankara have heightened over the Kurdish forces.

With the fighting in the Hajin pocker nearly over, SDF will consider a last push to clear them out. Survivors of IS likely to swim the river. An offer to withdraw into Iraq has been rejected by SDF. IS to either surrender or to die. Likely it will take a week to ten days to clear the area. Afterwards, many troops can be redeployed, depending on SDF strategies.
