BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:15 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels in northern Aleppo, Friday, carried out an attack on the two Shiite towns located north of the provincial capital.

The militants heavily shelled the towns of Nubl and Al-Zahraa on Friday night, killing at least two people and wounding three others.

Both of the casualties were children that were inside their homes when the jihadist rebels in nearby Anadan began their attack on Al-Zahraa and Nubl.

In retaliation, the Syrian Arab Army began heavily shelling the jihadist-held towns of Haritan, Anadan, and Hayyan in northwest Aleppo.

Tonight’s attack by the jihadist rebels marks the first time this month that they have struck the government-held towns in northern Aleppo.
