BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The jihadist counter-offensive in the Idlib Governorate tonight began with a lot of promise, as their forces managed to capture at least two towns near the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.

However, this success would be short-lived, thanks in large part to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reinforcements that arrived to drive back the encroaching jihadists.

According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Arab Army killed a large number of jihadist rebels, including several members of the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

The military source added that the Syrian Army destroyed several technical vehicles that belonged to the Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants near the Abu Dhuhour Airport.
