BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:45 A.M.) – The last 48 hours have been rough for the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) as they have suffered losses at several fronts, including Palmyra where they have come repeated attack by the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) sleeper cells.

On Saturday, the Syrian Arab Army came under a suprise attack in western Aleppo when a group of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham fighters infiltrated their positions from the Rashideen 4 area.

According to a military source inside of Aleppo city, at least 12 Syrian soldiers were killed and several others wounded when the jihadists infiltrated the Aqrab area of western Aleppo yesterday morning.

The Syrian Arab Army has been in constant conflict with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham in western Aleppo; this has forced them to concentrate most of their forces to this front in order to avoid any land grabbing by the jihadists.

However, it is very likely that they are going to send more reinforcements to this front in the coming days, as Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham has posed a severe security threat to Aleppo city and its surrounding area.

Since Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s offensive against the rebel forces in western Aleppo, they have increased their attacks against the Syrian Arab Army and their allies inside the provincial capital.
