BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – Israel’s new Arrow-3 missile will “significantly limit the capabilities” of Syria’s S-300, Russia-based Lenta.Ru reported on Friday.

According to the Russian publication, the induction of the Arrow-3 system in Israel’s military will make their airspace ‘impenetrable’.

“Of course, indirectly, this also applies to Russia – after all, our planes and missiles are located in Syria, which borders Israel, and under certain conditions this dominance of the Jewish state can go sideways for us,” Lenta.RU reported, citing the Свободная пресса publication.

The publication notes that “the Syrians will be severely limited in their ability to use the S-300 while repelling the next attack by the IDF [Israeli Defense Forces].”

They would add that “besides, Israel has an antidote for almost all types of Russian missiles. And against whom are such technologies being created, if not against countries with a powerful arsenal?”

Last month, Israel and the United States conducted tests on the Arrow-3 in Alaska, proving this system could hit extra-atmospheric targets.

lenta.ru are stupid?…S-300 is a ground to air missile..which would be launch vs IAF aircraft on flight…arrow 3 is made to intercept ballistic missile over Israel!

Indeed, another pile of bullocks coming from a “writer” without even mainstream knowledge of weapons systems…. the Arrow is exclusively made for exo-atmospheric interception of ballistic target, not even its official technical specs or manufacturers try to pretend otherwise. We are talking about two completely unrelated assets made for equally distant things, and so notwithstanding how great of bad each one performs. And the guys reaches strategic conclusions between them out of thin air. Unbelievable.

Oh, rabbi-GRYZ !!! You again forgot your herbal-tea You’re so specialist you ignore that Arrow has already been used to shoot down a Syrian S-200 SAM in the atmosphere. The vectoring thrust is absolutely an in-atmosphere feature. BTW, manoeuvring a rocket outside the atmosphere and moreover in a hit-to-kill pattern, is way more delicate than inside the atmosphere. Let’s face reality : if you can go after a ballistic missile or a satellite, as it’s the case for Arrow or RIM-161D, way bigger/slower aircraft are not really an issue… What is also wonderful is the pricing : Arrow 3 costs… Read more »

Yes, absolutely , the S-200 flies at an altitude and speed (both relative to the ABM interceptor, and absolute) way lower and slower than a ballistic target, in a flight profile (flying horizontally in a… Read more »

No Assad must stay, and BTW, it comes from a Russian source, not a western one. And these Russians are slow to react : I’ve ALREADY explained this development on March 2017 and on AMN (you can crawl back 2 years ago if you don’t believe me), when, believing a ballistic missile had been launched, while it was a SyADF’s S-200, Israeli launched an Arrow and intercepted the SAM, noticing it was a world premiere, even if it happened by chance, a new era had started where ABMs would be used to protect fighter-jets from hostile SAM launches and how… Read more »

Yes, and you did bring up that silly thinking of yours again a few days ago, and as always, I debunked it. World premiere or not, all that this ABM system managed to do is to lock and shoot down a target that is : 1 – Way larger than a missile warhead, 2 – Flying horizontally vis-à-vis the ABM system, which means… 3 – …almost zero relative mouvement to the ground 4 – wasn’t closing in directly to the target zone at hypersonic speeds on its atmospheric reentry phase popping up at the last moment after the plasma surrounding… Read more »

Here, even Israeli news outlets actually raised some of the very same doubts and partly shared my skepticism posted above.

Rabbi GRYZ (Gaon Rabbi Yitzchok Zev) You ridiculed yourself again a few days ago! Go back to your Torah, you didn’t even knew that Russian aircraft and air defenses were widely spread into NATO, USA even has Flanker. In fact, your objections are simply parroting what was said in the 80’s. It’s a bit like the idiots into banning cluster bombs because of the 70’s c**p which let many unexploded and are still an issue in Laos… How funny you come with the plasma in case of re-entry since, oh, for sure, this affects radars, but, the Arrow missiles don’t… Read more »

“It’s a bit like the idiots into banning cluster bombs because of the 70’s c**p which let many unexploded and are still an issue in Laos” So laughable is your inculture indeed. Had you gone out of your Hasbara cave and left your armchair a second in the past 15 years of your miserable life, you’d see that demining teams from the UN had a hard time cleaning thousands upon thousands of unexploded cluster munitions in Iraq, Lybia, Afghanistan, and Lebanon as well in 2006 thanks to the criminal voluntary and strategically useless 48-hour long bombing of the IAF on… Read more »

+++ “popping up at the last moment after the plasma surrounding it is gone (which renders it virtually undetectable on a previous egress phase of its ballistic flight path, the core difficulty for the early-warning element on any ABM design in the world, had you know your topic)” >>> We’re also speaking about a 2,400km range interceptor, not a Patriot PAC-3. In case of launch from the ayatoilets, this means interception at mid-course for their Hwasong copy, and in ascending course for an improved Scud-D copy which is much slower and reaches a 400km altitude… In case you wouldn’t know,… Read more »

Douchy, I swear I read the entirety of your pile of looping junk of a post to make sure there was nothing new for me to destroy. And the result is quite implacable :besides the nice vintage UFO posters that gave me another good laugh which I thank you for :nothing. If i break it down ,your points are basically : 1 – we have more weapons, 2 – they’re better than yours which are pile of copied junk’. And stricly no facts, no figures,no technical data besides complete wishful thinking assuming all would go nice and easy should things… Read more »

“R-27 and Scud-D do evasive manoeuvres!” From a previous episode :Iranian missile design are way past the copy phase ,their demonstrated precision and unique profiles in every recent engagement (notably against your friends the PDKI that got some roof falling on their heads in two separate rooms) and test footage (remember the 20-meters precision shot of a falling Khoramshahr I showed you ? tadaaa, it was real, and still rings, b-i-a-t-c-t-h) now demonstrate this. No serious outlet or government agency make that assessment anymore, you choose to live in 1998 forever, it’s your call.m,but don’t confuse your fantasies with the real… Read more »

Oh i forgot that one gem. “the idea of a “6 minutes war” immediately killing likely 30 millions Iranians with 50 millions more passing in the following years is not an idea I cherish, unlike you when it comes to genociding Jews, then all those not thinking like your schizoid so-called prophet” 1 – Being illiterate still prevents you from understanding who I am,but you are pardonned. ignorance is not entirely one’s own fault. So again, i’m a fervent atheist. I hate jewish anf oslamist nut jobs equally. And unlike you blind Cabal follower calling for Arabs and Iranians to get… Read more »

Nowhere near, but he’s more entertaining than the habitual peanut brained ayatoilets’ troll, at least I have a little fun with rabbi-GRYZ. Even the name is amusing : using the one of one of the most prominent scholars in halakha… The idiots at the Iranian-hasbara must really believe I’m an Israeli. They obviously don’t get we’re a team in Dar al-Harb and that we understand them while, to be able to understand us, they’d need to become just like us and this is haram.😁😁😁😁😁😁

It’s clear that as soon as rabbi-GRYZ puts his nose out of the Torah, he’s not wrapped tight. Must be the age, just like ayatoilet Khamenei posting on Twitter ridiculing himself day after day after day, over and over and over again.

Khamenei, Bibi and ErGOG alike are indeed all equally ridiculous in their twitter posts and speeches, yes, each with his own devilish and deviant style. All miserable illuminates thinking they speak with their God daily and that religious books are above International Law, like their no-less miserable minions such as you . Well maybe Bibi is the most laughable of them all now that I think about it, after he took a WB cartoon poster off of his bedroom’s wall for serious business to show at the UN. But I smell anger right there, student Douche, be careful now, finals… Read more »

Meanwhile…
IRGC, Hezbollah, Hamas, PIJ, Fatah, DFLP, or PFLP terrorists are getting killed on a daily basis…
