BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 A.M.) – The spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Jonathan Conricus told the AFP News Agency on Tuesday morning that their troops had detected tunnels build by Hezbollah along the Lebanese border.

According to Conricus, the IDF “detected Hezbollah tunnels infiltrating its territory from Lebanon and had launched an operation to cut them off.”

Furthermore, he claimed that the IDF “detected ‘attack tunnels’ were not yet operational, but they will either be filled or collapsed,” without revealing how many were detected.

“The defense troops warn Hezbollah and the Lebanese army soldiers against any offensive action from Lebanese territory to Israeli territory,” enemy army spokesman Avichai Adrei said via Twitter.

“You are in danger. You have been warned,” he wrote.

This is something like what South Korea would have experienced (or still are) with their northern brethren ‘s underground incursions across the DMZ. The thing is, like the ROK / US detection work, the IDF may not be able to find all the tunneling work. Its just takes five out of 15 tunnels to make things interesting if left undetected.
