Israeli soldiers working along the Upper Galilee-Kafr Kila border

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 A.M.) – Residents of Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon received text messages from the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), yesterday, warning them to stay away from Hezbollah.

According to the state-owned National News Agency (NNA), the Israeli Defense Forces also warned the residents of Kafr Kila  that their town was in danger because of “Hezbollah’s suspicious tunnels.”

The National News Agency also said that the Israeli Defense Forces threatened to destroy Kafr Kila over these alleged tunnels that stretch from the town to the Upper Galilee region.

Earlier this week, the Israeli Defense Forces launched “Operation Northern Shield” along their border with Lebanon.

The primary objective of Operation Northern Shield is the elimination of all Hezbollah tunnels that stretch into the Israeli areas.
