BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:00 P.M.) – The so-called Islamic State’s (ISIS) defenses are falling apart in the northeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continues its large-scale advance in this rural region.
Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army liberated another 19 towns from the Islamic State, today, after overrunning the Islamic State’s northern and southern flanks in northeaster Hama.
According to a military report from Hama, the Syrian Arab Army liberated the following towns: Jubb Al-Sukkar, Junaynah, Al-Hanin, Al-Khatabiyah, Jdeideh, Abu Mahalah, Jubb Al-Hintah, Al-Qinatar, Abu Habaya, Marami Bani Halal, Umm Zahimak, Al-Buydah, Al-Faydah, Matostiyah, ‘Aqlah, Mushayrifah, Muksar Al-Sharqi, Abu Al-Qanat, Abu Sawaya, and Qa’lat Huwayes.
The Syrian Arab Army has now liberated nearly 70 towns, villages, hamlets, and hilltops over the last 48 hours in the northeastern countryside of Hama.
In addition, the Islamic State’s once large pocket in northeast Hama has been reduced to a small area near the Idlib axis.
