BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 A.M.) – Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (var. Hashd Al-Sha’abi) are preparing to launch a new military operation inside the Hawija District of the Kirkuk Governorate.

According to the official media of the Popular Mobilization Units, their forces are planning to clear all of the Islamic State’s sleeper cells that believed to be active in several towns around the Hawija District.

The Popular Mobilization Units have been pro-actively targeting Islamic State sleeper cells across country, with ongoing operations in the Nineveh and Diyala governorates.
