BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:25 P.M.) – The Iranian forces and their allied paramilitary groups are on high alert in eastern Syria, a source from the Syrian military told Al-Masdar News from Damascus.

According to the Syrian military source, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and several allied paramilitary units have increased their security measures around the border city of Albukamal as they anticipate a potential response from the U.S. over the downing of their drone near the Strait of Hormuz.

The IRGC is primarily based in two locations in Syria: Al-Safira (southern Aleppo) and Albukamal (eastern Deir Ezzor).

While Iran’s downing of a U.S. drone near the Strait of Hormuz has made headlines across the world, this is not the first time that they have targeted American unmanned aerial vehicles.

In February, Iran hacked a U.S. drone in eastern Syria, forcing the American forces to destroy the UAV.

Earlier today, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted that “Iran made a very big mistake!” He would add, “We don’t seek war but will zealously defend our skies, land and waters.”

Big problem with his tweet was the word “OUR”. I looked on the map and I did not see US skies, Water, and land located anywhere near the Middle East.

What Trump mean when he says,” … our skies, land and waters.”?

What will become interesting will become when an action will be retaliated nonetheless on the author, but also against all its proxies, or if made by a proxy, on their masters and other proxies too.
And this is 100% legal under Hague Convention.

If we’re using Israeli standards then Iran more than has a right to shoot it down, especially if in territorial waters. Israel claims the right to attack countries preemptively in sovereign territory ‘years before it becomes a (supposed) threat,’ is that in the hague or any other convention?
