BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:30 P.M.) – A Hamas official told an Israeli journalist on Tuesday that all reports of a ceasefire brokered by Egypt and the United Nations are false.
It appears no ceasefire has been established in the Gaza Strip this afternoon, despite several reports of a deal brokered earlier today.
Moments ago, Israeli warplanes continued their aerial bombardment of the Gaza Strip, hitting a number of sites near the town of Khan Younis.
Furthermore, a number of rockets fired from Gaza were reportedly intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome System, local activists claimed.
As of now, both sides are trading hostilities along the border, with neither side participating in ongoing ceasefire talks.
