BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 A.M.) – Hundreds of fighters from the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) poured into the Deir Ezzor countryside recently to aid in the ongoing offensive to capture the key town of Hajin.

According to the official media wing of the Syrian Democratic Forces, at least 300 fighters from the Al-Raqqa and Al-Hasakah provinces were redeployed to the Hajin front in Deir Ezzor to provide necessary assistance in their ongoing operation.

Video footage of this convoy was released on Wednesday; it shows several SDF fighters heading towards the battlefront in the Deir Ezzor province:

Since they resumed their offensive operations in southeast Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Democratic Forces have managed to entered the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) stronghold of Hajin and seize at least 15 percent of the town.

@Hamham, the Jihadists among them IS started a fitna. They broke the sharia based on the Quran and the Hadith. That forbids Muslim to fight and kill Muslim. It is the obligation of all Muslim to punish and kill them, unless they immediately start to observe the word and stop their fitna.

Seems SDF is determined to put an end to the Hajin pocket to prevent a resurgence of IS in the region. Once they are out, they, as well as SAA will find it hard to cross the river, as it will be fortified in depth.

SDF will want to have its hands free for Turkey and or SAA as either one or two of them will be coming. Luckely resupply by US is so huge and now incl howitzers that either one will have problems breaking through, especially if there is going to be a no fly zone.

@Karel Vd Geest, SDF have an interest to weaken IS but not to finally end it. IMHO the advantage to have the hands free against the Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri or the SAA is smaller than loosing the resupply by the US after the demise of the IS danger.
