BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:20 P.M.) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed on Saturday to “break the arms and wings” of the US-backed forces operating in northern Syria.
“They are not aware of the fact that we will break the arms and wings of the structure they have been striving to form and destroy it completely,” Erdogan told AKP members in the Kahramanmaras province on Saturday.
Erdogan continued that he will never allow a terrorist corridor along Turkey’s borders.
“They want to sever us from our sisters and brothers by forming a terror corridor along our borders. They do not hesitate to link arms with terrorist organizations,” he stated.
“We believe we will sooner or later bring down the terrorist organizations and those who are behind them,” Erdogan said.
Erdogan’s latest threats come just days after he warned the US about aiding the Kurdish-led YPG forces in northern Syria.
