BEIRUT, LÍBANO. Fuentes del EAS acaban de anunciar la total liberación de la ciudad de Al Sukhnah, en el este de la gobernación de Homs.

La pasada noche, el EAS y sus aliados irrumpieron en la estratégica ciudad desde el sur y el suroeste. En medio de duros enfrentamientos con terroristas de ISIS, las fuerzas pro gubernamentales lograron romper su última línea defensiva, avanzando hacia los distritos septentrionales antes de liberar la ciudad por completo.

Los equipos del EAS encargados de la limpieza de residuos han comenzado a despejar las minas y explosivos improvisados (IED’s) de la ciudad de Al Sukhnah.

Con este avance, el EAS se encuentra ya a 55 kilómetros de la frontera provincial de Deir Ezzor, y a 110 kilómetros de su capital.
