BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:15 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their large-scale offensive in southern Aleppo, Friday, targeting the last towns under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

Backed by Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Army managed to capture more than ten towns in southern Aleppo after a fierce battle with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Army now finds themselves even closer to besieging the jihadist rebels in the eastern countryside of the Idlib Governorate.

With the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport under heavy attack from the Syrian Army, the jihadist rebels have decided to concentrate their forces at this front, rather than southern Aleppo.
