U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced this afternoon that his nation’s armed forces would be expanding their military base in the small nation of Qatar.

According to Pompeo, the U.S. was planning to expand its Al-Uleid Military Base after successful talks with the Qatari regime.

Al-Udeid is already the largest US military base in the Middle East.

The military base in Qatar is home to the US Air Force Central Command (AFCENT). It houses as many as 11,000 personnel and is critical for the projection of US air power in the region.

Last year, Qatari Defense Minister Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah said that the government of Qatar was expanding US military’s al-Udeid Air Base and sought to make the facility and US presence there “permanent.”

Actually, it’s a Britishs’ Royal Air Force base which harbours US militaries at a level they’re way more numerous than Brits!
The very bad side being that since this base is in Qatar, the Qatari regime feels allowed to wreck havoc anywhere they please.
In fact, al-Udeid has even more foreign troops than the manpower in Qatari army…
It’d be a clever thing to consider ousting the bani-Thani who are real poison at international level. Enough of ’em being one of the main funders of global terrorism.
