BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels from the “Rouse the Believers” coalition carried out a powerful ambush in the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.
According to a military source in Aleppo city, the jihadists launched their attack near the small town of Al-Warida, where they were able to catch the Syrian Arab Army off guard.
The source said the Syrian Arab Army suffered a number of casualties as a result of the attack.
He would add that the Syrian Arab Army been pounding the southern countryside of Aleppo with a plethora of surface-to-surface missiles since the ambush by the jihadist rebels.
This ambush comes after another long night of hostilities between the Syrian Arab Army and jihadist rebels at the western outskirts of Aleppo city.
In particular, the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham launched several rockets towards the Al-Khalidiyah District and Nile Street of Aleppo, killing and wounding more than 20 people in the process.
The Syrian Arab Army would later respond with a powerful attack on the Anadan Plain and Kafr Hamra suburb of Aleppo.
